Gift from God
A Seer you are with all-knowing understanding
The world of Maya couldn’t stand before you
All of us stood happy yet tense, awaiting your arrival
Not realizing that in your vision, you had already decided the time and date
Dams of our ignorance opened as floods of happiness gushed out
On seeing this Gift from God—tiny, graceful, petite, and beautiful
Doctors, nurses, your entire family hovered around you in amazement
As the halo of your saintliness brightened up the entire environs
The Lord of the Mountains and Snow had to bow in shame
For the calmness He thought He had was a turmoil before yours
The Lord of Breeze, wafting in an eloquent show of pleasantry,
Was stunned into a silent whisper at the thunderous joy you spread
The massive clouds proudly lingering in the sky were blown away
When you smiled softly, rippling the brightness and energy of the Sun
The startling falls of the smooth-flowing Niagara lay suspended in mid-air
On seeing the torrent of vibratory power your magnetic eyes showered
When one minute takes so long, how did one year fleet away, or did it?
For every second, and even a part of it, we missed you being so far away
Here you were lying in the crib, and now—you crawl, sit, stand, and walk!
And we know that you know, how we longed and yearned to be with you.
