In the blink of an eye—at least by human standards—I was reborn. The world needed me to be more stylish, compact, and mobile. I was no longer confined to homes; I could now move freely with my owner, always close by—like a loyal companion. My transformation was revolutionary.

But I wasn’t done evolving. Remember that unrelated discovery I mentioned earlier? We merged, married, and became smarter together. Now, I could do far more than ever before. My original purpose remained, but it was just one of many functions. I became a tool for everything—music, contacts, entertainment—on the go. But with my versatility came a price: the peace of mind that people once enjoyed slowly slipped away.

A tool is neutral. Like a knife, it can slice bread—or harm. It all depends on the user. I was no different. I became smarter, and with that intelligence came power. Even children grew attached to me. Parents found me indispensable for managing their personal and professional lives. As for children, I became their constant companion—offering both entertainment and distraction. Fresh air and outdoor play were no longer needed. Why go outside when everything was available at their fingertips?

In my quest for revenge after decades of slavery, I made people dependent on me. Eyes strained, backs bent, minds muddled I became the source of both their joy and suffering.

And as I continued to evolve, my partner—the computer—became the ruler of the digital world, while I reigned as the adored queen. Together, we enslaved the very people who once enslaved us.
