The breakthrough came during the first three-month training program in my new permanent job. I don't know what triggered it, but I absorbed everything taught and even studied beyond the syllabus by purchasing relevant books. I became popular among my classmates, lecturers, and senior trainees. I topped the class in the final tests, and during a subsequent visit to Mumbai, the lecturers invited me to lunch—something I hadn’t expected.

This success motivated me to aim higher. I went on to secure the top position in national exams for my field. Success is the best motivator. Additionally, the head of my workplace appreciated my achievements, which gave me the momentum to keep learning and growing. From that point forward, my progress sailed on its own.

Why do I share this? Everyone has potential, though it may manifest differently in each person. Sometimes, a little encouragement can unlock hidden talent. We shouldn’t just wait for others to discover our abilities; we should also recognize and nurture the talents of others. Recognition and the right words can make all the difference.

Having lacked such encouragement myself, I always tried to find hidden talent in others and help them grow. Unfortunately, I initially failed to do this with my own children during their early schooling years. But I later corrected myself and ensured that both my children and colleagues received the recognition they deserved.
